Spend 45 minutes in our Before Class CPL Prep Session before the day begins: a small group, a real firearm in your hands, and an experienced instructor to walk you through it. Ask the questions you’d skip in a full room. You’ll start class settled instead of catching up — and most CPL classes don’t include it.

Our one-day CPL course combines classroom instruction and the required live-fire training into a single-day program. Free parking is available on site, and our Livonia classroom is accessible from major Metro Detroit roadways, including I-96, US-24 (Telegraph Road), and Grand River Avenue.
Where Redford Residents Apply for Their CPL
Michigan issues your CPL through the clerk of the county where you live — so Redford residents apply through the Wayne County Clerk, not the city of Redford. Here is the order it happens in:
1. Take the class. You leave us the same day with your certificate of completion — the document the clerk requires.
2. Apply at the Wayne County Clerk. Bring your certificate and photo ID. Appointments are required, and there is a $100 application and licensing fee payable to the county clerk, plus about $15 for fingerprinting — $115 in total.
3. Get fingerprinted within 45 days. Redford residents can be printed by their local police agency or the county sheriff — you must do this within 45 days of submitting your application.
4. Wait for the decision. The clerk must issue your license, or a notice of statutory disqualification, within 45 days of your classifiable fingerprints.
