Michigan CPL Training Academy, LLC (“MCTA,” “we,” “us”) runs michigancpltrainingacademy.com and our online registration page at my.michigancpltrainingacademy.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us when you register. Your name, email address and mobile phone number, the same details for any additional students you register, the class date and any add-ons you choose, and any discount or gift certificate code you enter.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Class records. The liability waiver you sign before class, your attendance, and your course completion and certificate records, which you need for your CPL application.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our websites we collect information such as the pages you view, the page that sent you to us, your device and browser type, and how you use our registration page. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, including an anonymous visitor ID stored in your browser.

  • To prevent fraud and comply with the law.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we use it only to contact you about your class, never for marketing. Message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving texts, reply STOP or contact us.

Analytics and session recordings

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

On our registration page, the personal details you type (names, email addresses, phone numbers and codes) are hidden from these recordings, and your card details are never visible to them.

  • With service providers that help us run our business, such as our payment processor (Stripe), scheduling system (Acuity Scheduling), online waiver provider (Smartwaiver), text message provider (Twilio), email provider, and analytics providers (Google and Microsoft). They may use it only to provide their services to us.
  • When required by law, court order or other legal process, or to protect our rights, our students or others.
  • If our business is sold or reorganized, as part of that transaction.
