    1st time CPL applicants

    Apply in person with the County Clerk’s office in the county you live in. Bring your (unsigned) CPL application and your class Certificate of Completion.

    Lost your CPL application? Print a new one here: CPL application (RI-012). Don’t sign it until you’re at the clerk’s office.

    CPL renewal applicants

    Lost your PIN? Make a request with your county clerk to have it resent to you. If you are not able to get a PIN, you can still renew by mail with the paper form. See: CPL renewal paper application (RI-012B).
