How Far Is Our CPL Training From Canton?

Most Canton students are home the same afternoon with their certificate in hand.
Where Canton Residents Apply for Their CPL
Michigan issues your CPL through the clerk of the county where you live — so Canton residents apply through the Wayne County Clerk, not the city of Canton. Here is the order it happens in:
1. Take the class. You leave us the same day with your certificate of completion — the document the clerk requires.
2. Apply at the Wayne County Clerk. Bring your certificate and photo ID. Appointments are required, and there is a $100 application and licensing fee payable to the county clerk.
3. Get fingerprinted within 45 days. Canton residents can be printed by their local police agency or the county sheriff — you must do this within 45 days of submitting your application.
4. Wait for the decision. The clerk must issue your license, or a notice of statutory disqualification, within 45 days of your classifiable fingerprints.
